Hi

Sorry about Hi - jacking this thread but I did pick one that was old with no replies - the forum will not let me start a topic so i can`t ask a question with out doing it this way Sorry.

My question is how easy is it to remove all the rear seats in a galaxy - I am assuming that all versions have the same mountings for the seats.

Thanks for your replies & advice.

Assuming you have a Mark 2 Galaxy then yes it is a simple straight forward job. The nack is to have all the rear seats tilted forward then starting from the back two start removing them by pulling on i believe is a red coloured strap. However, they are very heavy and do take alot of space storing them.

The mountings, i think are slightly different depending on if you have a six or seven seater.

Both the mk1 and 2 have the same mountings, the inferior mk3 has fold flat seating the one true sign of a mpv pretender :D and hence the lower load carrying and towing limit  Edited by mk2vr6

Hi

Thanks for the replies - Question these red tabs at the rear of the seats are they on the middle set as well as I want to remove occasionally all the rear seats to allow a larger area for a blow up matteress when I go sailing away from home.

Thanks again

Hi

I can`t walk outside to check because I do not own one but am tring to find the info that I need for the best choice,At the moment it`s between a Galaxy & a Picasso due the the fact that they seem to have better MPG but may not be as useful with the seats removed.
